Goodbye BlackBerry Messenger

Goodbye BlackBerry Messenger

Thursday night, April 18, 2019 at around 21:45 WIB, as usual, after arriving at the office, I browsed several sites to find out information about and was quite surprised when I read the title of the article above. After confirming the official website, the news is indeed true. Here are some screen shots from https://blog.bbm.com/2019/04/18/time-to-say-goodbye-english-version/ site.

BlackBerry (BB) has its own nostalgic story for me. The first time I touched a BB device around 2008, namely the BB Bold 9000 which still uses a trackball, belongs to a boss who wants to set up email and activate BlackBerry Messenger (BBM). Indeed, at that time, of the few devices I had tried, only BB was arguably the most successful in the push email service.

In 2010, I had my own BB for the first time, namely BB Torch 9800, the price at that time was around 5 million rupiah. I had a reason why I only bought BB at that time, because there was a physical keyboard and touch screen in 1 device. Before buying the BB, at that time I still had a Nokia C6, which had a touch screen and a physical keyboard as well, only the sliding model was different. Phones that used physical keyboards at that time still dominated compared to touch screens, so it needed a little adaptation to these changes.

PING PING PING, a very distinctive sound from BB, which may still be used by people today in WA, but only P P P only. There was no privacy at that time, so there was something like waiting for 1 year for an answer whose status was R, hehehe.

I was quite satisfied with using the BB, until finally BB released a tablet device to enliven the market from other competitors. The 16 GB BB Playbook (PB) fell into my hands a year later. The reason I bought PB is because it can be connected to BB, it’s quite easy to do fuel from this PB. I don’t know after some PB cameras were damaged, so it was quite annoying and there was no more updates and support for the device, until finally I first museumed this device.

Here’s the look of Nokia C6, BB and BP that I found back after a long time of storage, goodbye friend, thank you for accompanying me on my communication journey, hehehe.

Thank You Barapi

Thank You Barapi

On October 6, 2018, Barapi posted the following view on his IG, where I am one of  his followers. I tried to follow the T&Cs, yes of course with the hope of winning, not bad gift of free dinner.

Alhamdulillah, indeed it is a fortune, my photo is also displayed as a winner and as a birthday gift of course.

Oh yes, just for info, Barapi is a restaurant that serves steak and such. I found out because of the route of the work road at that time and of course also because of the info board in front of it which often provided promo info.

I forget exactly when I first came here. Seen from the front view, it seems that the place is not too spacious and my guess is correct, when I first went inside after going through the cashier, it seemed that there were about 7 tables of different sizes, for two and four, if more? Yes, just combine the tables.

For those of you who are located nearby, please stop by to try the deliciousness of the burger and steak. Always success Barapi. Thanks.

Oh no, the TV doesn’t turn on !!! even though it was normal last night, was it because I watched the movie from USB? That was a glimpse of the wife’s information when she wanted to watch TV and my guess about that. Yup, there is no orange standby indicator lights on, I have tried to unplug and reinstall the power cable, only the yellow indicator light flashes once it dies. My wife said the next morning the F2 was tinkering around the back of the TV. I was not suspicious of his behavior at the time, considering that the TV was installed on the wall, so what would he want to do with him?

Finally I tried to get out of the wall and put it temporarily on the floor while trying to handle it further and finally still nothing. Finally, I call 0804-111-1111, the process is not too long to bring in technicians, about 1-2 days ahead at a cost of Rp. 100,000 because it’s not guaranteed, if it’s true, I give thumbs up to Panasonic. If you want to read the reason I chose Panasonic, please read here.

There was no news on the first day and then I was contacted by a technician around 11am and was promised to arrive around 3pm. Because I was on holiday so there were no problems with that time, but if it couldn’t, it could have been rescheduled. Around 3:30 p.m. WIB, 2 technicians arrived at the house and immediately checked, the temporary results were the same as my previous check.

In less than 5 minutes, my TV had been exposed to the back, assisted by Analog Multimeters not found any damage symptoms, but the technician suspected that there was damage on the mainboard. How much is it, sir? About 1.5 million he said, wow the head was immediately surrounded by Morning Star. I have not made a decision for that and the TV components are paired as before, because there are no indications of damage, so he want to try again and thank God it can light up. It was informed by the first technician who seemed “lucky” to find such a problem when the installation process returned, which was caused by the power button in the back position turned off and correct when the results were tested again. the button is in the off position, why does the indicator just blink once and then die? ” it turns out if it is not in the standby position or is turned off, it will be the result.

Investigate, it might be true like the wife’s info at the beginning, 99% of the perpetrators were F2, because only him cute hand could slip between the gaps, if at the moment he had been able to speak, maybe confession would be made, hahaha. So after checking again, finally my TV can be used again.

In this case I would like to thank the two technicians (sorry, I forgot the name) and CS named Yuni who helped me, hopefully Panasonic can maintain this fast service to its customers. Thank you Panasonic.

When the Time has Come

When the Time has Come

No no no. The title above is not a fragment of a song that is currently being played at this time (Akad) and this is…

I realized when I was wearing my second child’s clothes after taking a shower and at that time there was his brother on the side. About 1-2 years ago, when I did the same thing, my brother was always silent when clothes were chosen, but after getting to know clothes, sometimes he said “I don’t want to wear that clothes … I want red clothes” or he ran when he wanted to wear clothes so we chase each other. This might also happen to his younger brother when the time has come.

Yes, yes … when the time has arrived, everything will change over time. The paragraphs above are only examples, and when they have begun to understand, the following will happen:

When the time comes, they will go to school for the first time in their cute uniforms. I still remember when elementary school where bottled drinking always missed in class when I came home, it turned out that it was not just parents who were forgetful, elementary school children also experienced it, hehehe.

When the time comes, they will ask for their own privacy. This happens usually when adolescents and begin to recognize relationships. Hmmm, when adolescents, Alhamdulillah, I was a good child (if I remember correctly), yes, even though naughty is also a naughty boy who is still natural. Hope you guys are better than daddy, love you son muachh.

When the time comes, they will know about the opposite sex … hmm, no comment if this is the case. The point is that parents must educate as well as possible so that they are not wrong in their relationships and actions.

When the time comes, they will get married … I hope they will get married around the age of 25, why? because our age is far different, so there’s no harm in hoping there is still a chance to hold a cute grandson, Amin.

If the time has come … actually there are many other examples and more details but I think it’s enough and when the time comes … I will update again.

Bila nanti saatnya telah tiba..ku ingin kau menjadi…

Panasonic Viera TH-40DS500G TV Review

At first I didn’t intend to buy a TV, even though our TV had been broken since a few months ago, but instead of following my wife around shopping (you know what kind of girl when shopping, wkwkwk), it is better for me to go around in the same location with my child. I stopped at the electronic place, it was very fitting at that time in front of the TV layout and it seemed that there was a “bond” of hearts, hahaha.

Yes, the TV I saw at that time was a Smart TV that was already Full HD and had an Easy Mirroring feature, other features were standard for me. Even though my previous TV was also Full HD, then I will still look for at least Full HD again, if there is a fortune, I will probably try 4K, amiinn. For Easy Mirroring, I have also tried it on an office TV and it is interesting to use, the rest I want to try Smart TV.

After going through a deeper check, as deep as the ocean, finally wrapped. Oh yes, another reason is, Panasonic Customer Care which I have “known well” even though there are no electronic goods under my Panasonic brand.

The following is the result of information that I can convey after a few months of using and resetting the TV:

  1. For some reason I can’t get any more digital broadcasts, after being reset, previously there were 2 channels.

Note: it turns out that the position of the antenna affects the TV channel and around April 2022 TV stations in Indonesia entered the digital era, almost everything can be obtained.

  1. For Youtube connections to freeze several times, it must be restarted several times in order to log in.

Note: it turns out that internet bandwidth affects when opening Youtube, previously my bandwidth was only 20 Mbps and then upgraded to 50 Mbps.

  1. The Netflix and UP buttons are close together, sometimes I press them wrong.
  2. The TV remote application is also available on the Play Store, namely the TV Remote 2 from Panasonic.

Note: around 2023 Panasonic has issued an application update to the TV Remote 3.

  1. I tried to watch movies from USB with .mkv format, of the 2 movies that existed, only 1 was successfully run, for movie 1 again the info “Player not supported” appeared.

Maybe for the time being, there are only a few points that I can inform. For the Easy Mirroring feature, a separate article will be created and TV information after being reset can be seen in the image below. Thanks.

Brief History of This Website

Brief History of This Website

“Huh, why does it look different again?”. For those who have seen my website before, they will probably say so J. Yup, since the end of 2016 I moved to another heart, eh CMS I mean. The first time I learned to create a website since the 2nd grade of SMK with Ms. Front Page, who still uses HTML. Remember all the codes? Yes, not really, just keep saving and uploading. In short, there is a special way, hahaha.

PHP !! Maybe you’ve heard and experienced it too? but this is not a Pemberi Harapan Palsu, you know, it is a programming language also for creating websites, but to be honest this one I left right away because I didn’t understand, the same as with his friend MySQL who generally went more to database creation. Dreamweaver has also poked a little, Macromedia Flash, wes this is the handle of the Kampung Baru kid (if he hasn’t moved yet), this Swish Max can be said to be a simplified version of Macromedia Flash. In short, at that time our class was 2 TEL 5, won all the championship titles for website creation  and my team won 2nd place.

After a few years, I was a bit empty on the web until my friend at Binus asked, “Mi, do you know Joomla? Teach me”, I said I didn’t know, because at that time I was working as a computer technician, not a web designer. Then I tried to learn  about the CMS and thank God, my first website was made using Joomla 1.0. The first domain I bought was not the website domain  that you are currently opening, at that time the domain was my full name but about 5 years of use, finally I bought a new domain that you are currently opening. The reason I changed the domain was to shorten it, hehehe.

This website would not be  without hosting, after googling here and there, I can host it somewhere that if I check it currently seems to be still active (privately owned), the reason is the price because at that time there were not enough funds, wkwkwk. I’ve tried about 5 hosting  sites in the past 8 years so to shorten the time and look for additional experience, I use VPS myself.

I have learned the Joomla version 1.0, 1.5, 2.5 and 3.0 until finally I moved to a CMS whose info from the user is better than what I am currently using, so the term don’t judge a book by its cover applies in this case, or the English version, don’t know then don’t love wkwkwk. In Joomla, every time the latest version appears, I have to change it according to the version. “Nya” in this sense is very broad because I checked and re-checked  the plugins, modules and supporting components  of the website, in short I was quite overwhelmed to pass it on.

For  the CMS that I am currently using, which until now can still always be adjusted to all  installed plugins. Try this and try that until you have to re-install several times because there is a plugin conflict, so if you see an article that has been posted for a long time without commenting, there are likely 2 things, indeed no one commented or yes because I reposted. Life is very short, so use it to learn to get the best results.

Finally, this website is present  as an application of the knowledge that I have gained and hopefully it will be useful for me personally and also for the readers, amiin (similar to the last paragraph of the closing lecture). Thus my brief, precise and concise information about the history of the establishment  of this website #lebay J

July 2018 Update: Why are there ads? yes, sorry if it makes the look less memorable, I just want to try to learn Google AdSense, not because of funding problems, hehehe.
